Ans = Paragraph Styles affect a entire paragraph. These Styles store the formatting features for a Paragraph and when applied, these will affect full paragraph .

Ans = The advantages of Styles are;
- Styles maintains consistent formatting in document, e.g., all Paragraph will have same font, size and line spacing etc.
- Style make major formatting changes easily replicable across all object that have same style.
- Styles make formatting changes very fast -- just change the styles for formatting feature and it will be instantly applied to all the places that are based on this style.

Ans = Styles allow you to easily apply consistent formatting to the document as well as to quickly change the existing formatting.

Q8. How would you apply a Styles and formatting window, onto a document object?
Ans => To apply a Styles and formatting window, onto a document object, follow the steps;
- Open Styles and formatting window by pressing by pressing F11 key .
- Then, select the object such as paragraph/character/frames etc. Which one you want to applied.
- From Styles and formatting window, firstly select the style-type as per selected object and rhen double-click on style name which to be applied on it. And it will apply the selected Styles on the selected object.
- Every paragraph always has associated style. By deafult, every paragraph has a default style but when you apply the style on a paragraph, its style name change. The style of the current document paragraph indicated through the Styles box on the formatting toolbar.
Ans=> This method is useful when we need to format many scattered Paragraph, words,or other items with the same style, and it may be easier to use than making multiple selections first and then applying a style to all of them.
Q10. Write a steps to create and update a new Styles from a selection .
Ans => Step to create and update a new Styles from a selection are;
- Format a document object like a paragraph or frame until it appears as you like.
- Open the style and formatting window by pressing F11 key.
- Form icon bar of the window, click on type of Style to create (paragraph ,character and so on).
- In the document, select the item to save as a style.
- In the Styles and formatting window, click the New style drop-down arrow and select New Styles from selection from the dropdown menu.
- In the create Styles dialog box, type a name for the new style. the list shows the name of existing custom style of the selected type, if any. CLICK OK to save the new style.
Ans=> steps to create a new styles using drag and drop follow the steps ;
- Open the Style and formatting window by pressing F11 key .
- Now select the formatted object from which you want to create a style.
- Drag selection to the style and formatting window.
- It will now open the same create style dialog. In create Style dialog box, type a name for the new style. CLICK OK to save the new style.
- If the Paragraph style type is active in the style and formatting window a new paragraph style will be added to the list . if the character Style are active , the character style will be added to the list.
Ans=> the steps to load styles from an existing file are;
- Open the document in which you want to copy Styles.
- Open the style and formatting window by pressing F11 key.
- In the style and formatting window click on the new style icon on the top right and select load styles.
- Select the checkboxes for the categories of Style to be copied.
- Select overwrite if you want the style being copied to replace any styles of the same names in the document you are copying them into and click Ok to copy the styles.
- You will not see any changes on screen but the list of styles shown by style and formatting window will get updated and name of newly loaded style will be shown there.
